Inti
Inti is a male colombian boa, boa constrictor imperator, named after an Incan sun god. He is probably 2-3 years old. He was purchased at a small, disreputable pet store. I normally do not purchase animals to "rescue" them, nor do I recommend it. The only reason I even entered this store was because they were the only place in town that had live mice in the size I needed. I saw Inti in a cramped cage, with no hide box, trying to soak in a bowl that was much too small. His unusual pattern and striped tail caught my attention, and I had to have him. When I got him home, and in better light, I found an old nose rub and a bad case of mites. He is now in much better condition, and may be breeding Masaya in the next couple years.
